Consult Vista
The Vista Leisure Group also has a consultancy trading arm that can manage other more commercially focused businesses. The company is called Consult Vista Limited.
Set up in 2002 this trading subsidiary is currently responsible for operating Kearsney Abbey Tea Room. Consult Vista also provides consultancy services across the spectrum of leisure management.
Profits generated from this company can be returned, in the form of a dividend to Vista Leisure, which in turn is invested in community leisure.
Community Vista
Whilst Vista leisure is a commercially focused trust we also believe very strongly in promoting active lifestyles and healthy living to all ages. Community Vista was set up in 2003, grant aided by the Dover Urban Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) and Project DELTA, to work with partners such as the East Kent Teaching Primary Care Trust to encourage healthy living.
A range of projects are being delivered in leisure centres, schools and community halls focusing on the following:
- Providing sport and leisure opportunities and experiences to young people to improve health and reduce crime.
- Supporting Surestart delivering and developing a range of exercise opportunities for young families.
- Working closely with the Health Promotion team operating Smoking Cessation Clinics and developing an Obesity Strategy.
- Supporting the aims of the PESCCL Strategy (Physical Education School Sport & Club Links Strategy) and delivering activities in school and after school.
- Providing Sports Development advice and support to individuals, local clubs and organisations.
- Community Vista has its own team of dedicated and professional staff.
