Safety Recognition for Vista Leisure
QLM, regarded the UK Market Leader in Leisure Management consulting has awarded Vista Leisure the highly respected Leisuresafe certification at Tides Leisure Centre in Deal.
The swimming pool re-opened in July 2007 after a period of closure to carry out essential renovations. Since this period extensive customer consultation has been carried out together with a full health and safety audit by QLM.
The centre scored an excellent 69% in the audit which currently ranks Tides Leisure Centre among the top performing leisure centres in the country who have undertaken the Leisuresafe audit. QLM’s Consultant Lee Patterson said “It was clear from the outset that Vista Leisure takes its responsibilities for health and safety seriously and a good health and safety culture was evident”.
Councillor Sue Nicholas, Community Portfolio holder for DDC, was at the Centre to receive the award from QLM Managing Director Peter Mills with Centre Manager Julie Foster.
Councillor Nicholas said "This is positive recognition for Vista Leisure and testament to the considerable efforts that have been made to provide a safe environment for customers".
Customer satisfaction at the centre currently rates as 85% good-excellent and staff at the centre are very proud to be offering such a high level of safety and service to the local community.
Tides Leisure Centre in Deal is a multi sports leisure centre with associated Indoor Tennis Centre. Very popular with families, Tides has a free form leisure pool with wave machine and jaccuzi pools. The centre also incorporates a sports hall, health and fitness club, sauna/steam suite and a 3 court indoor tennis centre. There are a range of membership packages available, however, you do not have to be a member to use the centre.
The centre programme provides a wide range of activities and facilities for hire suitable for everyone. The pricing policy offers substantial savings for regular users and an excellent Access concessionary scheme for disadvantaged people in the community.
